Aqsa - Hi, my name is Aqsa Arshad and I am 14 years old. I am in grade 8. I moved to Canada last year on July 23, 2008. Since that time I have had lots of happy moments. One of them was when I was selected as a Canada Wide Science Fair winner going to Winnipeg. I have also won many certificates at school such as honesty, integrity, trustworthiness, caring and empathy. At school I participate in the Girls Club, Basketball, and Science Fair. My future includes becoming a doctor. I like to hang around with my friends who are extremely kind, gentle, honest and caring. My aim in life is to make my parents and family proud and happy and to thank them for all their effort and constant support. There are many other people whom I will be thankful for my whole life. These people have always been a source of support and encouragement to me.
Andjela - Hi, my name is Andjela Japalak, and I am 14 years old. I am in grade 8. I moved to Canada 9 years ago. Since that time, I have had wonderful moments of my life, so far. One of them had to deal with being selected as one of the Canada Wide Science Fair winners, going to Winnipeg this year. I would have never expected such an opportunity in life. I have always hoped of being noticed for such an important event based on anything. At school I have won many certificates, such as responsibility, student ambassador, spirit award, honesty, integrity, empathy, and caring. At school, I am a part of the basketball team, girls club, and most of all, this year’s science fair. My future is based on a lot. I want to finish university, and become a successful person in life. My goal in life is to make my parents and family proud of me, and to thank them for all their support and effort. There are many others whom I will be thankful for having. Those people will always be a source of support and encouragement in my life.

PEPCID...Just One and Heartburn's Done!
Division:International / None
Category:Junior
Region:Bay Area
City:Hamilton, ON
School:Sir Wilfrid Laurier E.S.
Abstract:Through experimentation, we tested antacids for reducing heartburn. We hypothesized that Tums would be the best. Our first part of the experiment, we did simple methods of titration. To reach the end point, a pink colour had to persist. In the second part of our experiment, we mixed each antacid with universal indicator and HCL. Results proved that Pepcid Complete was the best.
