Isabella - I'm Isabella Pedersen, but call me Izzy. I love (and do) many different things, including ballet, figure-skating, musical theatre, badminton, journalism, reading, and of course...science! I love to learn facts about exotic places and unique subjects, and especially about the biology of humans and animals. If I were to look into a crystal ball and see my future, I'd probably be either a world-renowned doctor, an award-winning author, or an archaeologist with a famous discovery. I think I'd be a doctor because I've been in a mentorship program studying the immune system and cancer cells, and an author because I've been fortunate enough to win the Canadawide Scholastic contest, a few Remembrance day competitions, the CanadianSpaceAgency writing contest with Steve Maclean,am in the middle of writing a book with the renowned biologist Karsten Heuer, and have won the Provincial Environmental Minister for the Day contest in Edmonton. I'd like to be an archeaologist because I adore history and love to travel across the world. Overall, I'm a girl that wants to live my life to the fullest, so I'm travelling, entering contests, eating exotic foods, saving the planet and enjoying everything I do no matter what.
Jaden - My name is Jaden Black and I'm 12 years old. I'm in karate (white belt). In school I joined the yearbook commitee, and tried out for the basket-ball team. I love to sing, read, draw, write, swimming ,playing volleyball, and hanging out with friends and family. My goals for the future are to get a good education, and work hard to become a veterinarian and work with animals.

Abstract:Our project is "Saving the World Never tasted this Sweet", and it is an environmental innovation. My partner and I have created a biodegradable candy wrapper out of recycled papers and have tested its degradability, hygiene and ability to keep products fresh. We believe that there are ways to save the environment. All we need is some science, ingenuity and effort from everybody!
