Yu-Sheng - I am Yu-Sheng Hsieh, coming from Taiwan. I have four members in my family. I am in the eleventh grades in Li-Shan Senior High School. My favorite subject is science, so I take the experiment in chemistry with my friend. We often encounter problems difficulty during the experiment, but we all do our best to solve it. Today, I am glad to take part in the Canada Wide Science Fair. I hope we can make new friends and get more information in Ottawa.
Kai-Chung - Hello! I'm Kai-Chung Hsiao,a 17-year-old high school student. I study in Li-Shan Senior High School in Taipei Taiwan. My favorite subjects are chemistry and physics. I enjoy my science project a lot and have learned a lot from it. I'm very excited about taking part in the CWSF this year. I hope I can make some friends and learn new knowledge in Ottawa.

Feasibility Evalution on Various Organic Acids Applied in Fuel Cells
Division:International / None
Category:Senior
Region:Taiwan, R.O.C.
City:Taipei,
School:
Abstract:The principle objective of this study is aimed at using a three-electrode cell to examine the suitability of various organic acids towards producing clean energy via electrooxidation on a series of Pt-based catalysts, to replace methanol as a fuel. The results showed that a fuel cell using formic acid catalyzed with PtRuTi/C slurry would provide efficient operation.
