Biography
My name is Courtney Halldorson. I am 14 years old and enjoy many activities. I participate in basketball, volleyball, baseball, drama, dance, swimming, and track. I like to bake, cook meals and make crafts. My favorite foods are noodles, chocolate, ice cream and pickles. I don't like olives and, sometimes, my brother. I love going shopping and being with my friends. Last year I won 3rd place in our local science fair and got to go to Canada Wide Science Fair in Nova Scotia. I have won awards or medals in track, music festival (speech arts), dance competition, and poster contests. I plan on becoming a pharmacist after attending the Universtiy of Victoria and one day, open up my own pharmacy.

Abstract:For my science fair project I am going to find out if reconstituted dry mustard can kill bacteria in contaminated water and the bacteria on contaminated spinach. I chose this project because I have read articles about recalls of contaminated spinach and I wondered if the disinfectant properties of mustard could be used in the ready-to-eat produce industry.
