Biography
I am currently 16 years old and I am enjoying Grade 11 at Bishop Tonnos Catholic Secondary School where I have maintained honour roll status throughout my high school years. I enjoy volunteering in the school cafeteria and I also volunteer within my church community. I have participated in numerous Science/Engineering and Heritage Fairs, collecting many awards. My pastime interests include photography and building scale models, especially trains and muscle cars. I also read extensively and enjoy riding my bike. I plan to continue my education after highschool but have not yet determined my exact path. I will likely pursue something related to the automotive or engineering fields.

Abstract:This project studied the influence of reinforcement (position and amount) in the strengthening concrete structures. Eight rectangular cross-section concrete beams with reinforcement varying in location and quantity were deflected until failure employing a homemade jackscrew apparatus. Location of the reinforcement proved to be more important in achieving maximum strength.
