| Biography |

| I am a Grade 10 student at Hillfield Strathallan College. At the school I am a member of the Social Action committee and a member of the Crescendo Concerts committee, which recently hosted Tafelmusik and the Canadian Brass. I am a trumpet player in the school Wind Ensemble. I recently organized a speaker for International Women's Day, and am completing my silver Duke of Edinburgh award, having completed bronze last year. To complete the requirements for the awards I participated in a dog sledding trip and a winter canoe/camping trip in Algonquin Park. I am the youngest member of the first girl's Senior Field Hockey team, and I am currently assisting the junior girl's team with skill development. Outside of school, I have been sailing since I was 6, and racing on the Royal Hamilton Yacht Club Optimist Race Team. I have raced multiple times in the New England Regatta, the Orange Bowl in Miami, and the Canadian Nationals. In 2006 I represented Canada at the North American Optimist Championships in Puerto Rico against teams from as far away as Australia and Singapore. |

Test results show that Malathion breaks down, but it is unclear if chemical absoption into the sediment occurred. The residual toxicity of Malathion on the food chain was investigated. |
