Biography
My name is Stephanie Stripe and I am a grade nine student at Almaguin Highlands Secondary School located near North Bay, Ontario. After several attempts I am finally going to CWSF! At school my favourite subjects are math and science. I also enjoy many team sports and play on the school's soccer and volleyball teams. I enjoy swimming in summer and skating in the winter. I like to read books, watch movies, and play with my dog. I have a great interest in the environmental issues of today, and my project this year deals with the local effects of acid rain in my community.

Abstract:The project “Acid Rain: Is It Gone, Or Just Forgotten?” studies the acidic precipitation in the Almaguin Highlands Region, an area southeast of Sudbury. The major suflur dioxide and nitric oxide producers in Canada and other countries that are contributing to acid precipitation are examined.
