Biographies
Lindsey - School, music, and sports, as well as family, extra-curricular activities and friends are important aspects of my life. I love math and science. I am in grade nine, attend Walter Murray Collegiate Institute and am in the advanced program. A passion of mine is music; I have played the piano for eight years. Debate is an extra-curricular activity I enjoy. I am part of the human rights club and gay-straight alliance and participate in the math club and environmental club at my school. I volunteer with Kids’ Help Phone. Cross-country running and Track-and-Field are things I really enjoy doing. Also, I love drama and am learning to work the lights and sound. In my free time I like to sing, write, read, compose music and spend time with family and friends. After high school I would like to attend university and have a career in the medical field. One thing I would really like to see in the world is everyone living harmoniously. I would like to see everyone embracing opportunities, taking a risk, being accepting of everything and everyone around them. I am grateful, glad and proud to have been given the opportunity to represent Saskatoon at CWSF 2007!
Amanda - My name is Amanda Regnier. I am a Grade 9 student at Walter Murray Collegiate in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. I have been involved in many extra curricular activities including cross country running, curling, badminton, and track and field. I enjoy running and am looking forward to participating in the Relay For Life this June to help raise money for cancer research. Music also plays a large role in my life. I have been playing the clarinet for the last 4 years in school bands, and I am proud to have achieved my Grade 6 piano. I am working towards my Grade 8. Another goal of mine is to complete my Lifeguard certification. I have been involved in swimming for the past 12 years. I have earned my bronze medallion and have two levels left to complete. I am grateful for this experience and I am proud to represent Saskatoon in the national competition.

Abstract:This project studied whether or not No Name® (All Purpose Cleaner, Cream Cleaner, Bleach), brand disinfectants clean more effectively than corporate brand name disinfectants (Lysol®, Mr. Clean™, Vim™, Javex™). The number of bacteria colonies in each nutrient agar dish were counted before and after disinfection with each product. No Name® brand disinfectants were found to eliminate more colonies than their competitors after forty eight hours.
