Biographie
Julia Martin, born September 23, 1991, in Digby, N.S. Attended Barton Consolidated School (P-6), and I am currently in grade 10 at St. Mary’s Bay Academy. At S.M.B.A I have served on the S.A.C. and I am on the School Accreditation Committee, and have been a member of the senior girls soccer team for three years. Also a member of Young Company Theatre Productions for five years, and I enjoy performing. I am a member of the Ashmore Church Choir and lead the Sunday school music program. This summer I will be serving as a missionary at Camp Peniel. During my four years at S.M.B.A I have received many awards. Some of these were for science (Environmental science award 2006), others are RRFB Nova Scotia Collage winner in 2003, and I take the most pride in my Youth Volunteer Award received in 2006 from the town and municipality of Digby. March 2007 I received my Red Cross Level B, first aid and CPR. Soccer, dancing, and romantic movies are my pass-times. Meteorology is one of the areas I have considered as a possible career choice, and whatever my career is it will no doubt be somehow linked to earth science.

Weather Predicting
Division:Génie et sciences de l'informatique / Aucun
Catégorie:Intermédiaire
Région:Tri-County
Ville:Weymouth, NS
École:St. Mary's Bay Academy
Sommaire:This project tested the effectiveness of homemade instruments verses folklore and nature’s signs in weather predicting. Using the data from these sources daily predictions of the upcoming weather forecasts were made for ten days and compared to the Weather Network forecasts. By comparing all three to the actual weather received some important conclusions could be drawn about weather forecasting.
