Biographies
Christine Leanne - My name is Christine Dyck and I am 17 years old. I am a grade 12 student at Herbert School in Saskatchewan. I am involved in our local youth group and in my school community through the Student Leadership Committee as well as various other activities. In my spare time, I enjoy photography, spending time with my friends, camping, boating, fishing, water sports, and the outdoors in general. I also enjoy travelling and a dream of mine is to travel the world. Next year once I have graduated, I will be attending university and pursuing a career in biochemistry or biomedical sciences. This is my second year competing at the Canada Wide Science Fair.
Brittany - My name is Brittany Mathies. I am 17 years old, living in Herbert Saskatchewan. Currently I am in grade 12, attending Herbert School. After I graduate a plan to go to college to become a Medical Radiologic Technician or LNP. I love to play sports such as volleyball, badminton, and track. I'm also on the school SRC for planning school events. Summer is my favourite time of the year. I enjoy hobbies such as; boating, tubing, hiking, camping, swimming, quading, and spending time at the lake. Someday I hope to do a lot of travelling to see new parts of the world. I love to spend my free time with my friends and family. Last year, my partner Christine and I went to Winnipeg, Manitoba to the CWSF.

Sommaire:For our project we attempted to create a bioplastic which has the potential to be used to replace some forms of petroleum-based plastics. We experimented with different substances of varying amounts to create an effective plastic alternative. We used substances, which break down to make a biodegradable form of plastic.
