| My name is Jon Dunphy, but anybody who is anybody calls me JD. Im originally from Scarborough, Ontario, but now I live in Lawn, NL and I'm a level II student at Holy Name of Mary Academy (GO MUSTANGS!). I'm involved in many extra-curricular sports including floor hockey, basketball, volleyball, and soccer. I'm also involved in sea cadets, and my favorite club of all, drama! Besides sports and clubs, my favorite hobby is music. My favorite types of music are...well basically anything with a guitar. I love everything from heavy metal, to acoustic rock, to punk to classic rock. I also play guitar. I have an electric, an acoustic and a bass, which i play most everyday. It says to comment on my achievements, so some of my notables are the ANAVETS medal for top marine engineer at camp, academic excellence for 7 straight years, acting awards in 3 out of 4 drama festivals, a gold medal at the regional, provincial and national level for marksmanship, and im currently taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh young Canadian challenge. When i graduate i plan on attending MUN to study to become an electrical engineer. |

We ran trials with our wheel gyroscope, altering it's speeds and axle positions in each trial. We found that the faster the wheel spins, the longer it will stay in motion. We also found that the gyroscope can create enough force to move it's holder on a frictionless surface. |
