Biography
My name is Andrea Fortier and I am 18 years old. I have six brothers, aged 9 to 22 years old. I graduated from Rosemere High School (Quebec) in 2006, with the second highest average in my graduating class. I moved to New Brunswick last October and I am now doing my grade 12. Despite starting a month late, I still managed a 98.4% average for first semester. My classes were Trigonometry, Physics, Chemistry, French, and Leadership. For the first part of second semester my overall average is 97.6%. My classes include Calculus (100%), Advanced Math (100%), Biology (100%), Reading Tutor (100%), and English (88%). I have applied and have been accepted to the Royal Military College of Canada. I am planning to become an Aerospace Engineer. My family is extremely supportive of me. I am also a black belt second dan in Tae Kwon Do. I was a junior heavy weight champion in Quebec for two years in a row and participated in two Canadian Championships, one in Alberta and one in Nova Scotia. I am a proud member of TADD (Teens Against Drunk Driving). I also volunteered at my local SPCA.

Abstract:This project explored the concept of electromagnetic induction. I built three similar wooden generators with the same strenght and size of magnets. I kept an almost constant speed of rotation for my magnets by using a battery-operated drill. I varied only the thickness of the wires and subsequently determined the amount of current produced by each with a multimeter (in mA).
