Fertilizer Contamination in the Hydrologic Cycle
Division:Engineering & Computing Sciences / None
Category:Junior
Region:Winnipeg Schools
City:Winnipeg, MB
School:River Heights School
Abstract:This project studied the potential effects of fertilizer contamination in the natural hydrological cycle. Different types of fertilizers mixed in varying concentrations were tested to prove if this type of contamination is a significant concern. It was found that although it was not as great a concern as direct run off, it is another process that also contributes to environmental damage.
