Abstract:My investigation studied the antibacterial properties of Oregano using the well-diffusion method and the production of zones of inhibition on agar in petri dishes. The bacteria, selected for study, were Staphylococcus epidermidis, Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas fluorescens. All of these bacteria are related to food contamination. Oregano exhibited strong antibacterial properties in the case of each type of bacterium studied.
