Biographies
Vikhyat - Vikhyat Mundlapudi is a thirteen year-old grade eight student enrolled at the Tomken Road middle school in the Sci-Tech program. He enjoys playing cricket, playing electric guitar, and riding his mare, a black quarter horse named Mercedes. Over the years he has been recognized for many accolades, academic and extra-curricular. He realised his interest in science at a young age and has been pursuing his goal of being a scientist ever since. In grade 6, he was part of the Lego Robotics League. He was sent to Skills Canada and won Silver in Lego Mechanics. In grade seven he won the Peel Skills Challenge and recieved a Silver in Skills Ontario (Lego Mechanics). This year, his sights have been set on the platinum medal at the nationwide science fair. His hard work paid off when he won a Gold at the Peel Regional Science Fair with his partner Jagvir Gill. Ever since, his hobby of riding horseback and playing rep. cricket for the Toronto team, and playing guitar has coexisted with improving his science fair project for the nationals. He has always believed that the key to a happy life is a healthy balance of education and clean extra-curricular fun.
Jagvir - Jagvir Gill is presently in grade eight at Tomken Road Middle School. While being in the Science and Technology program Jagvir has received 2 silver medals in the Provincal Skills Canada Character Animation Competition in 2007 and 2008. He has also recieved 2 Stellar awards for representing Peel in Skills Canada. He enjoys taking part in school activities whether it be the yearbook committee or intramural sports such as flag football and indoor soccer. Outside of school Jagvir is training to be life guard and enjoys snowboarding and being apart of the North Mississauga Soccer Club. In grade seven he was part of the science fair team for his school at the PEEL regional. He enjoys challenging and new experiences which he has been in. Jagvir has recieved class honours through out grade six and seven.

Abstract:In the year 2008, there were 150,000 cases of quadriplegia and paraplegia (a person with no control over four & two limbs (respectively) due to spinal cord damage) in the world. We want to give them a new life with our innovative voice-activated wheelchair. With the use of GPSs, sensors, and computer programs, we were able to construct a reliable, safe, and effective wheelchair.
