Biographie
Radhika Chandra is a grade eleven student attending Royal West Academy in Montreal, Québec. She is the President of her school’s Student Life Association (student council), and is also a School Prefect supervising and helping in school activities during and after school. For the last four years, she has participated in her school’s annual Dance Show which raises funds for the “Dans la Rue” organization. This year she has been chosen to be one of the executives of this production. She has also taken the responsibility to organize a drive for the Foster Child Program at her school. Radhika has volunteered at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Hemo-dialysis and at the YMCA Day Camp with physically and intellectually handicapped children. This well-rounded student has not only achieved in sciences, but has represented her high school at the “RISE” competition held by Concordia’s John Molson School of Business, where her group came first place. She is an avid dancer mastering classical Indian dance since the age of five. She has been a member of her school’s soccer, basketball and football teams, and of Pointe Claire Inter-City Soccer Team. Radhika plans to pursue her career in the field of science and medicine

Sommaire:Have you ever wondered whether the spices and food we eat help in killing cancer cells? My project demonstrates that compounds found in spices do actually kill two types of breast cancer cell lines and also activate pro-apoptotic proteins in liver and breast cancer celle lines.
