Electricity From Snow
Division:Health Sciences / Environmental Innovation
Category:Junior

Abstract:This project looks at whether it is possible to use snow and air at room temperature to make electricity using a Peltier module, which produces electricity when there is a temperature differential between its two sides. A home-designed thermoelectric generator was used to determine that snow at 0°C and air at 20°C does not create a big enough temperature differential to generate 1 volt.
