Biography
Jeremy Rubinoff is 15 years old, and enrolled in Grade 10 in the gifted program at Northern Secondary School in Toronto . Jeremy is the Vice President of Junior Relations for the Math, Engineering and Science Association (MESA) and is a member of Debate Club. Outside of school, he has completed two sessions of Junior Achievement, a program where high school students set up and run their own business. In his first year, he sold the most products and the following year he was Vice President of Production. Next year, Jeremy plans to run for a different Executive position with MESA and run for President of a Junior Achievement company. Jeremy has also volunteered with the ROM, and ran several hands on exhibits. With his friends, Jeremy enjoys fantasy and strategy games, such as Dungeons and Dragons as well as Magic: The Gathering. He is an avid reader of science fiction and fantasy and he enjoys watching science fiction television shows. After he graduates high school, Jeremy plans to attend university, although he has not decided on a university or area of study. However, he has narrowed it down to three general possibilities: science, business and math.

Abstract:The Iterated Prisoner’s Dilemma is an experiment where two prisoners choose to testify against the other or stay silent in order to receive a lower sentence over a pre-set number of rounds. Various strategies result in different total sentences. This experiment attempts to determine the best strategies and their common characteristics. The results can be applied to situations where decisions involving other people are made.
