Biography
I was born in California, USA and moved to Montreal when I was 3. Through my growing-up years, my greatest interests were building and sports. It was during my first year at Emmanuel School in Montreal that I developed a greater interest in science. My favorite past times include extreme sports, field sports, music, acting, travelling, photography, and landscaping. Another specific interest I have is police and crime work. I have wanted to have a career in this area for some time but also wanted to incorporate science in my career. This led me to plan for a career in the field of Forensic Sciences. While school and activities fill up much of my time, I still enjoy spending as much time as possible with my friends and getting to know knew people. I find school difficult and marks are hard to maintain but with hard work and determination, anything is possible.

Hunting with TGF-beta traps
Division:Biotechnology / None
Category:Senior
Region:Montreal
City:Chomedey-Laval, QC
School:École chrétienne Emmanuel
Abstract:When the body over-produces TGF-B, it promotes, cancer and fibrosis. Thus, a TGF-B trap has been invented to neutralize TGF-B's negative effects. My project was based on analyzing this trap by potency and size, and comparing it to the 1D11 antibody that is already being tested for TGF-B neutralization.
