Biography
My name is Kaylyn Stark; I am 15 years old and in grade 9 at Hines Creek Composite. I live in Hines Creek, Alberta with my family. I have been an honour role student through the duration of my schooling. In grade 4 and 5 I won the Declamation contest for our school and 4-H speak offs continuing on to the regionals in both. I have participated in science fair grades 7, 8, and 9, as I went to CWSF in 2008. During the winter months I spend 5 nights a week and numerous weekends figure skating. During the season I teach and partner the younger skaters, go to regional clinics, practise, take tests to achieve levels, and compete. I hope someday to achieve my StarSkate coaching certificate. In the summer I enjoy coaching soccer and working at the local summer camp program. I also work part-time year around at the local grocery store. When I finish school I would like to be a high school teacher having a major in math and minor in social studies.

Abstract:This project studied the efficiency of solar panels and their effects on the environment throughout their lifespan. Particular weather patterns and locations affect how long it takes to pay off your solar debt, how much energy you can produce, and how long solar panels maintain efficiency. This project also examines the chemicals that solar panels contain and how they affect the environment and consumers health.
