Biography
My name is Emma Borhi and I'm an eighth grade French Immersion student at Trafalgar Middle School in Nelson BC. I'm a straight 'A' student and my favorite subjects are Math and Science. In my spare time I like to read, play sports, listen to music, take pictures and spend time with my friends. I had an amazing trip to France last year, and I would love to live in Paris at some point. I'm not sure what I want to do after University, but I like the idea of working with stem cells or foreign affairs. This is my second CWSF and I am extremely excited to participate again! I believe that science fairs are a great experience and opportunity.

Hypermobility: A Blessing or a Curse?
Challenge:Health
Category:Junior
Region:West Kootenay & Boundary
City:Nelson, BC
School:Trafalgar Junior Secondary
Abstract:Hypermobility and Hypermobility Syndrome (HMS) result from two different hereditary connective tissue abnormalities. I researched the differences between them to learn the advantages and disadvantages. I also researched some of the many symptoms that can be included in both to see what the affects could be during the life of a patient with either Hypermobility or HMS.
