Biography
Hello! My name is Clay Corson. I am in grade eight and go to Halifax Independent School. I really like to do art and draw, doing archery, playing capoeira (which is a brazilian martial art), and last but not least... Sailing! I sail a 420 boat every summer down at my cottage. I wanted to do a project that revolves around my personal interests; Something creative and fun to do. So why not Sailing? My advice for anyone who is thinking about doing a science fair presentation is to try to find a project that revolves around your interests!

Abstract:The purpose of my project is to test different types of dinghy sails in different wind speeds and angles to see which sail can generate the most force. All of the sails that I made have the same area, which allowed me to test them based on their shape. In my trials I used three dinghy sails: Optimist, Sunfish and 420 and tested their performance.
