Photodynamic Therapy: A Red Light for Cancer

Abstract:	The objective of this project was to develop photosensitizers that target β-galactoside recognized proteins that are known for their high expressions in tumor cells. Two drugs derived from chlorophyll-a were synthesized and compared in vitro. The result of this testing and a few other studies is outlined in this project.
