Biographie
My name is Megan Schlorff. I am fourteen years old and I have lived in Hanover, Ontario all my life. I am grade eight at Holy Family School in Hanover. While I am in school I enjoy being a member of the band, the skipping team, the volleyball team, the soccer team, the choir, the website club, the media club and the year book committee. Outside of school I enjoy swimming, step dancing, baby-sitting, playing the piano, spending time with family and friends, photography, scrapbooking, stamping and arts and crafts. Over the years I have entered in the Legion Remembrance Day poster, essay and poetry and public speaking contests; where I have won numerous awards. I enjoy step dancing with my group, the Chiclettes. We compete in competitions all over Ontario and have won many awards on the junior group circuit. I have been competing at the Bluewater Regional Science and Technology Fair for five years. Last year, I had the opportunity to travel to the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Saguenay, Quebec. I had an amazing experience and received a gold medal in the Junior Physical and Mathematical Sciences division.

Sommaire:Drosophila melanogaster were used to determine whether ethanol tolerance is genetic, environmental, or both, and to examine which gender had a higher tolerance to ethanol. Eight generations of drosophila were exposed to ethanol in order to determine whether they had a high or low tolerance to ethanol. It was concluded that ethanol tolerance is environmental and that males are more tolerant to ethanol than females.
