Hyang Sook - I am Hyang Sook Kim, and I came to Canada on 2005 June. It's been almost two years. When I decided to come to Canada was hard, but I know that it was a great decision. I wouldn’t think about science fair before came to Canada. I was too busy to learn the theories, so that I don’t have time to come up with ideas and experiment them. I liked science because once I understand the concepts and memorize those ones I could get a good mark. However from the science fair I realized that the memorization is not all the science. Even though there were too many works to do in the science fair but I enjoyed the work. After finish the regional science fair I was proud of myself that what my partner and I did in order to get a more accurate and precise result. Because I will get a major in the science, this science fair is worthy experience to me.
Ji-Sun - I'm an exchange student from South Korea. I live in Halifax for almost a year and a half but I'm still learning Canadian culture. I have a passion and a curiosity in everything. My favorite subjects are math and science. That's why I enjoy the school math league team. However, I'm not just a math person. My hobby is playing the flute and I'm involved in the school musical this year. I want to express my character by doing a lot of activities in Canada because I can show many aspects of myself. This is the first year that I participated in the Science Fair and I found this is a great experience and chance to show my creativity and passion in science. I'm pleased to have the chance to go to the Canada Wide Science Fair.
