Biography
Hi, My name is Prateeksha and I am in grade 8. I have been in Canada since 2002 and have immigrated from India. I like to make new friends and help my colleagues to the best of my abilities. I am very invlolved in school related activities such as helping out in the Library and taking active participation in organizing special events. I have recieved several awards in academics as well as athletics. I plan on going to St. Francis Xaviers Secondary School for the IB programme and am excited about it. I am a firm believer that one should keep ones mind and body healthy. Keeping that in mind, I try to take part in games as much as possible and attend spiritual classes during the weekend. My hobbies include Music and Drama. I like to volunteer at the Old People's home providing companionship and comfort to those longing for it. I am very happy to have been given the opportunity to be a part of the Canada Wide Science Fair and I hope to learn a lot as well as have fun!

Fuel of the Future: Biodiesel

Abstract:This experiment relates to making biodiesel out of a substance called fryers grease to reduce global warming arising out of greenhouse gas emissions. I also wanted to make an additive ( organic in nature )that would enable effective usage of the biodisel even during the cold winters. This antifreeze can be a solution to the cold flow properties of biodiesel.
