Biographie
My name is Morgan Hoot and I am a grade 8 student who attends a Catholic high school in Kamloops, British Columbia. This is my second year qualifying to attend the National Science Fair. I am interested in microbiology and would like to pursue this area as a career. I compete as a pre-novice figure skater and attend many seminars and competitions outside of Kamloops. I play the bass guitar, piano, and I am in three bands. I enjoy alpine skiing and started coaching in the Nancy Greene ski league this year. I have two sisters - one older and one younger. Our family has two dogs, 1 cat and a bearded dragon.

Handwashing and Gloves: Making the Right Choice
Division:Sciences de la vie / Aucun
Catégorie:Intermédiaire
Région:Cariboo Mainline
Ville:Kamloops, BC
École:St Ann's Academy
Sommaire:The improper use of gloves can expose a patient to a hospital infection. Therefore, the purpose of this project was to determine if there was a relationship between bacterial growth and the length of time that gloves are worn. Results indicate that bacterial growth does increase the longer that gloves are worn thereby revealing that gloves do not replace the need for proper handwashing.
