Biographie
I am 13 years old and I attend Queen Mary Elementary School in Vancouver, B.C. I am in the MACC (Multi Age Cluster Class) and am presently in grade 7. Next school year I will attend Point Grey Mini School. I live with my 2 sisters, my brother and my parents. Both my brother and mom have gone to the CWSF and my mom even won a gold medal at the CWSF (1985). I speak French and English fluently and have a basic grasp of Spanish. I play the piano and the trombone. My favorite subjects in school are math and science. In my spare time I enjoy junior lifeguarding, playing tennis, mountain biking and freestyle skiing, participating in my book club and acting for AIM language films. I have my standard first aid certificate. I also take pleasure in doing many outdoor trips. I have already done the Nootka Trail (a 6-day backpacking trip), the Bowron Lakes (a seven day canoe trip), and have done a 100km circuit in the Rockies in addition to the many family camping trips. When I grow up I hope to become a researcher and contribute to the solution of climate change.

Division:Génie et sciences de l'informatique / Innovation environnementale
Catégorie:Junior
Région:Greater Vancouver
Ville:Vancouver, BC
École:Queen Mary Elementary
Sommaire:Firstly, I studied three commercial bioplastics: Capers, SPUD and Daniel le Chocolat Belge. I placed them in 12 different environments. The results were that Daniel le Chocolat Belge plastic decomposed the fastest and the north compost decomposed the bioplastics the fastest. Secondly, I made many homemade bioplastics and compared them to Daniel le Chocolate Belge plastic, and I learned that my bioplastics decompose faster.
