Abstract:My project explores the problem bumblebees are facing with supplies of pollen. I compare the pollen size of native plants (the standard size that bumblebees evolved with) to that of 'introduced' plants and garden flowers. I collected pollen samples last spring and summer, then photographed and measured 25 of each type. The volume was calculated and averaged. Pollen sizes were then compared to each other.
