Biography
Vigorous athletics, creative music, strong leadership and high end academics are exactly who I am and what I do. I involve myself in several sports year-round. Being an avid hockey player, I am one of nine goalies from Ontario selected for an invitation only summer training program. As for school sports, I am regularly part of the soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, relay and track and field teams. In the spring, I play minor league football as a "Full Back". Playing guitar is not just a pleasure for me, it is a necessity. I perform at monthly coffee houses and I have currently written 8 songs. In addition to the guitar, I also sing, play the bass, mandolin, dobro, piano and the trumpet. Getting involved in school activities promotes leadership and community engagement. I am a member of the Student Council and Athletic Leadership Council. My job is to connect the circle of the school to the community, and back again. Academic excellence is something I strive for. I believe that school should be fun as well as challenging. My goal is to graduate at the top of my class.

Abstract:In my project "Power-walk", I created a shoe attachment that charges batteries using the action of walking. This mechanism consists of a manual dynamo fixed to the shoe. The motion of taking a step, passes electricity to rechargeable batteries. With this attachment, people reduce their carbon emissions, save money on batteries, and get exercise in the process.
