| My name is Katie Talbot. I am in grade 8 and attend Colborne Central Public School. My interests are figure skating, swimming and piano. In the future I am planning to attend college or university and pursue a career in the science or technology field. This is my first Canada Wide Science Fair and I am very excited to be part of this event and its 50th anniversary. |

The researcher tested 18 different used and 2 new reusable shopping bags to determine if there are any harmful bacteria present in the reusable shopping bags. The heat source and the incubation time were controlled. The researcher concluded that there were no harmful bacteria present in the reusable shopping bags tested. |
