Biography
My name is Coralie Sheane, I am 15 years old, an honour student in the Grade 10 French Immersion program at Crescent Heights High School in Medicine Hat, Alberta. I'm active in my school's drama program and I'm a Flight-Corporal in my fourth year of Air Cadets. I represented my squadron at the regional effective speaking competition two years ago. I volunteered at my local hospital last year and will volunteer at the SPCA this summer. I do face-painting on Fridays and work as a hostess on weekends in the restaurant my family owns and operates since 2001. I aspire to become an entymologist, a bio-medical scientist or a bio-chemical engineer. I enjoy baking birthday cakes for my friends and family in the shapes of their favourite animals, and I may develop this into a small part-time business. I like to watch documentaries and read fact-filled books.

Abstract:A look into the wonderful world of ants. Carpenter and Western Harvester ants battle to see which is more resistant to muriatic acid. Using three different concentrations on naturally deceased ants, I can determine which species of ant has a thicker and more durable exoskeleton.
