Biography
My name is Emily Campbell and I am in eighth grade at Christian Heritage School in Brandon, Manitoba. I like to do gymnastics and soccer. I take piano lessons and sing in the University Chamber Choir. I really love to draw and paint and take lessons from an artist here in Brandon. I love to ride horses although I broke my wrist last year falling off of a friend's horse. We live on five acres in the country and I have a younger brother and a younger sister. My parents are both music teachers and I also play the trumpet and french horn. Last summer our family traveled to Europe for five weeks and while we were there we attended a family reunion in Holland. It was great to meet all of my Dutch relatives and there were a lot of them. This is my first year participating in the Canada Wide Science Fair and I am very excited to be traveling to Ottawa.

Abstract:This project compared different types of fabrics to see which allowed moisture to evaporate the quickest. My purpose was to see if specific sports garments really are better at allowing moisture to evaporate quicker than other types of common fabrics. I used a standard amount of water on each fabric and measured the weight loss over time for each material.
