Biographies
Janet - My name is Janet Chan, a responsible, free spirited 16 year old born on March 18th, 1992. My elementary years took place at Gledhill P.S., where I received the Academic Achievement Award. Ah, yes, those were the days where we still had recess. Later on, I went to D.A. Morrison Middle School and now, I’m at my second year at Danforth C.T.I. Last year, I received the Grade 9 Visual Arts Award, as well as having the second highest average in my grade. Bibi, my over-weight golden retriever naps all day, and yes, I do envy him. I absolutely LOVE what Mother Nature has to offer, which suggests why I enjoy hiking, planting, night walks, or simply bathing in sunshine while taking note of the energies of my natural surroundings. Drawing, painting, print-making, reading, track, swimming and loved ones are other necessities of my life. Oh yes, and what would the years be like without the delicate wash of jasmine green tea and Classic Rock? Compassion, adventure, wisdom and honesty are things I value. I dream of going to University and becoming a psychiatrist one day, or someone who helps others recognize the beauty of life.
Lily - My name is Lily Wu. My current school is Danforth TCI and my previous schools include Wilkinson Public School, and Earl Grey Senior Public School. My achievements consists of winning the French Award during 6th grade Graduation for my grade, the Art Award during 7th grade for my class, the French, History and Math Awards during 8th grade for my class, the French Award in the 9th Grade for my year, as well as First Class Honours for Grade 8 Piano. My ultimate achievement is being able to juggle Cantonese, Mandarin, Math, Art, Musical Harmony and Piano lessons all on one day every Saturday (mind you, I am literally running from one part of town to the other in between these classes). My interests include writing, painting, drawing (especially with ink), piano, music, and literature. My favourite subjects are French, English and History. I adore food of a variety of cultures, theatre, classical music, onomastics, art, literature and just hanging out with my closest friends on a sunny Sunday afternoon.

Spendthrifts VS Tightwads

School:Danforth Collegiate & Technical Inst.
Abstract:The project's purpose was to verify patterns of today's shopping behaviours by analyzing consumer traits under 3 classes: "Tightwad", "Non Conflicted", and "Spendthrift". The survey involved subjects of both genders, different locations and age groups. We hypothesized that the youth would spend more than adults, that males would be Tightwads, and females, Spendthrifts. Our results slightly disagreed.
