Abstract:My experiment determined how age, gender, location and dominancy affected minimum two-point discrimination distance (m2pdd). M2pdd’s increased with age. Index finger and thumb values were similar, whereas palm m2pdd’s were greater. Gender and dominancy didn’t affect m2pdd. Applications for this work include use as base values for diagnosis of neurological conditions.
