| Hi, I'm Shannon Ball, a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba! I love horses and "the Lord of the Rings." I happen to be a fan of country music. I also play bantam baseball, and I'm one of the few girls in the league. I play baritone saxophone in concert band, jazz band and in the North End Community Band. I am also in my school's choir. I am not sure what I want to do after high school, although I am leaning towards becoming a vet with a specialty in equine medicine. This is my seventh year doing science fairs and my fourth with MSSS. Just being able to participate in the Canada wide science fair is my greatest achievement or award, but my most notable experience would be going down to Kentucky for the last two years with my mom. My dad has been the greatest supporter of my science fairs and it means a lot to be to have him be able to see one of my projects reach this standard. |

It's "In" Lightning

While focusing on CC lightning, I examined 2008 North American lightning data, and set out to determine whether there was a relationship between CG flashes and CC flashes. As a result of my research, I was able to create a more dynamic view of thunderstorm evolution. |
