Ryan - Hi, my name is Ryan McCollom. I’m in Grade 10 at Senator O’Connor College School in Toronto. I love playing guitar and listening to music. At school I am part of the Music Council, Concert Band, Jazz Band and Stage Crew. After university, I plan to pursue a career in the music or sound and light design field. I am taking all AP courses this year as well as Extended French. This is my second time attending the Canada Wide Science Fair, and I am looking forward to this year just as much as my first!
Myles - I was born on December 16th, 1995, in Toronto, Ontario and I have lived my whole life there. I am a huge fan of sports, especially hockey and baseball, and I am also a die hard fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Toronto Blue Jays. I am involved in many extra-curricular activities including my school's newspaper, have played the lead role in several school productions, and also love to play baseball both on the school team and in my community. I love to play video games, espeically sports video games and first person shooters, and also love to read and write. I have been told by many thorughout my life that my writing is spectacular, so one day I hope to write a novel, and not just one, but several. Though writing is my main focus for the future, I also very much hope to attend either the University of Toronto or McMaster University in Hamilton to study medicine, in hopes of one day becoming a doctor. Altogether, I just really want to make an impact on the world, regardless of how big or small it may be, and help as many people as I can.

Does Eco-Friendly Mean Good For The Environment?
Challenge:Environment
Category:Intermediate
Region:Toronto
City:Toronto, ON, Scarborough , ON
School:Senator O'Connor College C.S.S.
Abstract:Four dish soaps were tested on bean plants over a period of 20 days to test their environmental impact. While Seventh Generation, the Eco-Friendly cleaning product, was expected to have the lowest impact it harmed the plants the most. Sunlight and Palmolive both performed well, causing their respective plants to be slightly shorter than the control plant but the plants still appeared to be healthy.
