Biography
My name is Marc Doucette. I am a grade nine student attending Yarmouth Junior High School, in Yarmouth Nova Scotia. I am involved in many school activities including soccer, hockey, track & field and band. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to travel to London and Paris with my family, and this year I went to see a Calgary Flames hockey game – my favourite team. My sister did a social science-based project on memory retention when she was in grade nine and so I researched potential projects in that field before deciding on the human body’s internal clock. My advice to students becoming involved in science fairs and creating projects is to start early, it will take longer than you think to complete. Also, when presenting your project, know your material and make eye contact.

Abstract:Does time slow down or speed up when you age? I wondered how well people could estimate time. After testing many people of varying ages, I discovered that there appears to be some truth to statements that my older relatives make about how fast “time flies” as they get older.
