Biography
My name is Justin McDowell. I was born on March 16th, 2000 and I am 14 years old. I have loving and supportive parents as well as a 16 year old brother. Living in Timmins which is located in Northern Ontario, I enjoy the outdoors and being active. Playing on a competitive travelling soccer team throughout the summer and spending my winter months downhill skiing keeps me busy. I also play drums for my school band and for other bands within my community. I like to assist the older people in my neighbourhood by shovelling their driveways in the winter and cutting their lawns in the summer. My summer weekends are spent at my cottage with grandparents, family, and friends. Fishing, hunting, and hiking allows me to take in nature at its’ finest. I recently purchased a microscope to further my Science education due to my curiosity about cells and other specimens. As I enter high school in the fall, I hope to continue exploring my love of Science by focusing on many of the Science courses offered. I look forward to seeing what my future holds.

Effects of Music on Driving

Abstract:My project is entitled the Effects of Music on Driving. With distracted driving becoming a growing issue in today’s society, I explored how music affects a driver’s abilities. Through surveys, driving experiments and research, I was able to confirm my hypothesis that music does affect the speed at which someone drives. Further education for all drivers may make our roads safer.
