I am eighteen years old and attend South Colchester Academy in Brookfield, Nova Scotia.I would have to say I am a very well rounded teenager. I'm student council and grad class treasurer; I'm a member of Nova Scotia Math League. I have played competitive basketball for 6 years, for my high school team, and this past season I was named co-captain and received many player of the game awards. I was also part of the cross country team in the fall of 2007, moving on to compete provincially. I have also competed at the provincial level for track and field for the past 3 years and hope to repeat that performance this year. I currently coach and referee basketball for elementary students once a week. I have worked part-time at the local hospital since 2006 on top of my other activities. Next year I plan on attending Memorial University of Newfoundland to pursue my education to become a pharmacist. I enjoy spending time with my family, I am very close to my one and only sister, who is 16 years old. I like reading, going to the movies with friends, and just generally hanging out with my close friends. |
| Rebecca Bigelow Polar Ice: Electric Fields and the Effect on Ice
Division: | Internationale / Aucun | Catégorie: | Sénior | Région: | Chignecto Central West | Ville: | Stewiacke, NS | École: | South Colchester Academy | Sommaire: | To determine if electric fields effect ice, dishes of water were frozen some within an electric field and others regularly. It was hypothesized that water frozen within an electric field, would create ice with different characteristics than regular ice. Various qualities were examined and to verify results, multiple tests were run. After examination it could be concluded that the ice was different. |
