Detection Inspection
Division:International / None
Category:Junior
Region:Northwestern Ontario
City:Sleeman, ON
School:McCrosson-Tovell E.S.
Abstract:This experiment involving smoke detectors determined the quickest reaction time, if cleaning affected the results, and if detectors without heat sensors would react to heat. I constructed two testing structures and in a strict testing procedure, I used incense, "Smoke Test", and a heat gun. I found out cleaning made little difference and two detectors reacted to heat. I decided Kidde Multi-sensor was best overall.
