Biography
Kyle Potts is a 14-year-old student in grade 9. He enjoys playing hockey, baseball, and basketball. He likes to swim, play guitar and french horn and does karate. He is inquisitive and fascinated by science and technology. He is involved in choir and drama at his school. One day he hopes to pursue a career in science or computers.

Corn Stalk Coffee Cups

Abstract:This project created a biodegradable coffee cup out of cornstalk. It investigated three methods of making cornstalk cups (injection, pressing and using a mold and deckle). It studied a biodegradable plastic used to line and seal the cups. It also tested the biodegradability of the cornstalk paper.
