The Effect of Rising Water Temperature on the Fish's Respiration Rate
Division:Life Sciences
Category:Junior
Region:Toronto
City:Mississauga, ON
School:University of Toronto Schools
Abstract:This experiment is to determine whether rising water temperature has effect on the fish’s respiration rate. The result shows that fish breathe faster as the water temperature rises. This is probably due to less oxygen dissolved in warm water and increasing metabolic activity of the fish with rising water temperature.
