Biographie
My name is Alyssa Moss and this is a little biography telling you a little bit about myself. I am a grade 11 student at the wonderful Riverview High School. I use to go to Centre Scolaire Étoile de l'Acadie, an all French school in Sydney (from grade primary to 9) so I'm bilingual. I love being able to speak French and English fluently! It has its advantages. This year in school, I took chemistry and I have biology and physics now. I really enjoy all three sciences. For post secondary education, I'm leaning towards chemistry, but I'm not sure yet. My interests include playing sports; my favorites are volley-ball and soccer. I really like art as well, I love drawing, painting, even sculpting. I am a member of the decorating club at my school and we do things like make posters, holiday decorating and winter ball/prom decorating. I went to the Canada Wide Science Fair last year in Ottawa and had an amazing experience, it was something I will never forget and I'm thrilled to be a part of it again this year.

Sommaire:This project is an experiment that tested which house shape is the most wind resistant structure. Five different model homes were constructed. The wind force exerted on the models was measured using a force sensor. After analyzing the data, the dome home structure was found to be the most resistant. Now, safer, more wind resistant houses can be built where hurricanes are common and severe.
