Corrina - My name is Corrina Mageean. I am twelve years old. I was born and raised in Barrie Ontario. I have been attending an extended French school at Prince of Wales since I was in grade five, I am now in grade seven. My passion in life has always been skating. I started skating when I was five years old. I joined a novice synchronized skating team in 2005 for two years when I was nine years old. We were fortunate enough to represent Central Ontario at the BMO Canadian Nationals in Sarnia, Ontario. My team continued to excel as we made it to the 2006 BMO Canadian Nationals in Hamilton, Ontario. Last year, I got to skate with Jeffrey Buttle who is now the Men’s Canadian World Champion figure skater. I still skate with great enthusiasm and love every moment of it. My interests in life are: dance, reading, swimming, wakeboarding, snowboarding, skiing, volleyball, and basketball. My goals in life are to volunteer at the Royal Victoria Hospital as a candy striper, then to become a nurse and help people get better. | Natasha - My name is Natasha and I’m in grade 7 extended French at Prince of Wales PS, in Barrie, Ontario. I live with my parents, my older brother, 2 cute cats and of course my power generating hamster, Haggis. I enjoy a variety of sports, including skiing, tennis, and badminton and have played on hockey and basketball teams. I have also done lots of Irish dancing competitions, and am taking classes in hip-hop and ballet. I love reading and playing my violin. One of my biggest achievements would have to be winning a $300.00 scholarship and a Medal of Excellence for my grade 3 music exam. I am now working on my grade 5 violin exam and I play in a small orchestra. When I’m older I want to become either; a graphic artist and go to an arts college in Nova Scotia, or, a professional photographer. I am really excited to be coming to the CWSF! |

Division: | Sciences de la santé / Aucun | Catégorie: | Junior | Région: | Simcoe County | Ville: | Barrie, ON | École: | Prince of Wales P.S. | Sommaire: | This project attempted to find an environmentally friendly energy source using the natural behaviour of hamsters. This was to reduce the amount of greenhouse gas emissions being produced. It was hypothesized that a hamster could produce enough energy to power your homes electrical needs or at least to charge an MP3 player. |
