| If you don’t know me…now you will. I am Meghan McLellan and I am 12 years old. I go to St. Josephs School in Smithers B.C. I’m in grade 7 so next year I’ll be in the high school! At school my biggest activity is work. Some of my other school activities include: volleyball, basketball, indoor soccer and youth group. What are my community activities? At the end of May I'll be shaving my head to raise money for Relay for Life. I hope that they will use my hair to make a wig for a child with cancer. My other activities are: swimming, soccer, badminton, archery and band (clarinet). Do you know what I want to be when I grow up? I’ll tell you. I want to be a dentist. Why? I want to live in a mansion. I haven’t won very many awards but these are some that I can think of: The John Lancaster award (along with all the other girls in my school), the Dick St. Louis youth achievement award for archery, 1st in girls' badminton singles, and 1st place in the 2007 soccer regionals. |

Blowing In The Wind

The amounts of volts generated were measured using a homemade windmill propelled by an electric fan. Windmill Blades with rounded edges worked better than other blades. Decreasing the angle of the blade into the wind improved the productivity. |
