Abstract:In this experiment I varied temperature and dye types on different fibre types to find the ideal dyeing conditions. Additionally I tested the relevance of fibre density on dyeing success and tested various fixatives to find the best one. Finally I categorized the dyes I used in my original experiment (Rit, Dylon and Tulip) as acid or fibre reactive dye, based on experimental results.
