| My name is Emily Campbell and I am in eighth grade at Christian Heritage School in Brandon, Manitoba. I like to do gymnastics and soccer. I take piano lessons and sing in the University Chamber Choir. I really love to draw and paint and take lessons from an artist here in Brandon. I love to ride horses although I broke my wrist last year falling off of a friend's horse. We live on five acres in the country and I have a younger brother and a younger sister. My parents are both music teachers and I also play the trumpet and french horn. Last summer our family traveled to Europe for five weeks and while we were there we attended a family reunion in Holland. It was great to meet all of my Dutch relatives and there were a lot of them. This is my first year participating in the Canada Wide Science Fair and I am very excited to be traveling to Ottawa. |

My purpose was to see if specific sports garments really are better at allowing moisture to evaporate quicker than other types of common fabrics. I used a standard amount of water on each fabric and measured the weight loss over time for each material. |
