| Janet Freilich Lighting the Way - Chemiluminescence Predicts Cell Growth
Division: | Sciences de la vie | Catégorie: | Sénior | Région: | Greater Vancouver | Ville: | Vancouver, BC | École: | Sir Winston Churchill Secondary School | Sommaire: | My project seeks to demonstrate a correlation between chemiluminescence and growth rate of cells in culture. Chemiluminescence is caused by oxygen radicals, which are produced as a by-product of metabolism. Metabolism is linked to growth rate. My results suggest that chemiluminescence may be an effective indicator of growth rate. |
