My name is Philippa Gosine and I am a grade 10 student at Gonzaga High School in St. John’s, Newfoundland. When I graduate from high school, I am considering becoming an engineer since I want to make a difference in the world where technology is very important. As well as excelling academically, I enjoy both music and sports. I am part of an internationally renowned touring choir called Shallaway with whom I am participating in Song Bridge in Denmark this summer. For the past four years I have been selected as an apprentice with Shallaway to work as a mentor to the youngest children in the choir. I sing in both the concert choir and chamber choir at Gonzaga and I have played violin for 10 years. I am a member of both the St. John’s Sea-Stars synchronized swimming team, which competes provincially and within the Atlantic Provinces, as well as the Gonzaga rowing team. I will also be traveling to the National Leadership Conference with my school in PEI. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my friends, photography, reading, art, volunteering and traveling. |
